My dad has got loads of tools he doesn't use, I swear he's like the guy in Gran Torino with a shed full of tools, though he's not a grumpy old guy spitting out racial slurs like Gran Torino, I must stress that fact!
Anyway, he gave me this nifty little multi-tool, a Leatherman Skeletool - it even sounds cool - which is really good for me because I don't really have any tools at home.
But he told me I shouldn't carry it around with me in a pocket or a backpack or anything, because multi tools or tools in general can be seen as weapons these days. You're apparently allowed to carry something like that if it's in a toolbox, but not a bag. It doesn't make sense to me, but I doubt anyone's going to search me any time soon!
